Renokit is used as nutritional support in chronic kidney disease patients to treat deficient protein metabolism with limited protein intake of 40 grams per day and to slow down the progression of renal failure.

Major & minor side effects for Alpha Ketoanalogue
• Increased calcium levels
• Headache
• Nausea

Renokit Tab should be used with caution since it may increase the risk calcium levels in the body. Reduce the intake of vitamin D and calcium sources if levels are high. Regular monitoring of the calcium levels is necessary while receiving this medicine.

Renokit may interact with antibiotics (ciprofloxacin, tetracycline), an antineoplastic agent (estramustine).
